Becoming a subscriber

Q: How do I subscribe?

A: You can find all of our subscription offerings outlined over on our subscription page.

Q: Can I sign up internationally?

A: Yep! Those located outside the United States can subscribe. Just note that payment will be taken in US Dollars.

Subscription

Q: What do I receive with my subscription?

A: We have created a recipe service that is helpful, fun, and makes you a more confident and creative cook. A single digital-only subscription gives you unlimited access to more than 50,000 recipes across bonappetit.com and epicurious.com—with new additions every week! You also have the option to receive the print edition of the magazine. Both subscriptions will still be able to access all non-recipe content (articles, galleries, and videos) across both sites.

Q: What happens if I already have a Bon Appétit or Epicurious digital account?

A: To continue to access unlimited recipes, you will need to add a paid subscription to your existing account and log in with the same credentials. Please visit our subscription page to decide which option is right for you.

Q: What happens if I don’t have a Bon Appétit digital account?

A: When you purchase a subscription, you will be prompted to create a digital account. You will also be prompted to create a paid account after viewing three recipes in a calendar month.

Q: What happens if I already have a Bon Appétit print subscription?

A: You will automatically have unlimited access to all the recipes on bonappetit.com and epicurious.com. You may log in using the email address associated with your print subscription and from there create a digital account. If you have further questions, please reach out to Customer Service by calling 1-800-765-9419 (+1 515-243-3273 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing support@bonappetit.com.

Account creation and management

Q: I have recently subscribed to Bon Appétit/Epicurious. How do I log in?

A: After you initially subscribed, you should have received an email containing a link to log in along with additional instructions about how to access recipes across the two websites. The link will automatically log you in to the site in which you subscribed from. You may also use an email and password if the user has previously generated one. If you have any issues, please reach out to Customer Service by calling 1-855-756-1671 (+1 332-248-1214 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing at help@bonappetit.com.

Q: I’m trying to verify my subscription, but I get an error that my email is already associated with another account. What should I do?

A: If you can’t remember which email address is associated with your subscription, please contact Customer Service by calling 1-855-756-1671 (+1 332-248-1214 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing at help@bonappetit.com.

Q: How do I change my billing term from monthly to annual?

A: To change your term, please reach out to Customer Service by calling 1-855-756-1671 (+1 332-248-1214 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing help@bonappetit.com.

Q: Can I pause my subscription?

A: You can’t pause your subscription at this time.

Q: Can I purchase group subscriptions that multiple people can use?

This is not an option right now.

Q: How do I make changes to my email address or password?

A: You may make updates to your email or password by calling Customer Service at 1-855-756-1671 (+1 332-248-1214 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing help@bonappetit.com.

Q: How do I make changes to my delivery address for the print magazine?

A: Please reach out to Customer Service by calling 1-800-765-9419 (+1 515-243-3273 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing support@bonappetit.com.

Q: I forgot my password or need to reset it. How can I do that?

A: Please reach out to Customer Service by calling 1-855-756-1671 (+1 332-248-1214 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing help@bonappetit.com.

Cancellation

Q: How do I cancel my subscription?

A: You can cancel your subscription within the manage subscription section via your account page. You can also cancel your subscription by calling Customer Service at 1-855-756-1671 (+1 332-248-1214 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing help@bonappetit.com.

Q: If I cancel my subscription will I get a refund?

A: At this point, you won’t be refunded, we do not offer refunds. If you call or email Customer Service and cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access until your next billing date.

Q: How can I cancel if I have a print and digital subscription?

A: Please reach out to Customer Service by calling 1-800-765-9419 (+1 515-243-3273 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing support@bonappetit.com. You will receive a refund for the portion remaining on your subscription.

Q: If I cancel my subscription, do I still get my benefits and perks?

A: If you are a monthly subscriber, you will still receive your benefits until the end of that month, as well as any perks scheduled for that month. You will not receive perks or benefits scheduled after your next billing date.

If you are an annual subscriber (without a print subscription), you will have continued access and available benefits and perks until the end of your annual subscription period.

If your subscription includes the print magazine, you will be refunded for time remaining on your subscription and your access and benefits will cease at time of cancellation.

Q: If I have cancelled my subscription previously, how can I subscribe again?

A: If you would like to subscribe again after cancelling, please visit our subscription page. If you have any further questions you can contact Customer Service by calling 1-855-756-1671 (+1 332-248-1214 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing help@bonappetit.com.

Billing and refunds

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Q: When will I be charged for my subscription?

A: Credit cards are charged upon receipt of annual orders and after your free month for monthly orders. It may take two to three days for the charge to appear on your credit card statement. Monthly subscriptions will be automatically renewed each month thereafter unless you cancel. For annual orders you will be sent a reminder notice sufficiently in advance of your renewal date stating the term and rate in effect that will be charged to your payment account. Your subscription will automatically be renewed unless you cancel.

Q: How do I update my payment information associated with my subscription?

A: You can update your payment information by logging in to your account and navigating to Manage Membership. From there, click Payment Methods and follow the prompts to add a new one. You can also update your information by calling Customer Service at 1-855-756-1671 (+1 332-248-1214 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing help@bonappetit.com.

Q: How do I get a refund and what is the refund timing?

A: If your order type is eligible for a refund, you can request a refund by calling Customer Service at 1-855-756-1671 (+1 332-248-1214 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing help@bonappetit.com. Eligible refunds are processed to the original form of payment within 5–7 business days.

Miscellaneous (gifts, referrals, discounts)

Q: Can I buy a gift subscription for someone else?

A: At this time you can only gift a print subscription or a combination print-and-digital subscription. We do not yet offer digital-only gift subscriptions.

Q: Can I refer a friend and get a discount/offer for doing so?

A: Right now we do not have a referral program.

Q: Do you offer a student discount on subscriptions?

A: We currently don’t offer discounts to students.

Q: What happens if I already have a Bon Appétit print subscription?

A: You will automatically have unlimited access to recipes on both bonappetit.com and epicurious.com. To create a digital account, log in using the email address associated with your print subscription. If you have further questions, please reach out to Customer Service at 1-800-765-9419 (+1 515-243-3273 if outside of the U.S.) or by emailing support@bonappetit.com.

Q: I’m trying to verify my subscription, but I get an error that my subscription is already associated with another log-in. What should I do?

A: Creating a bonappetit.com account and subscribing to the magazine are independent operations. It is possible to create a bonappetit.com account without being a paid print subscriber and vice versa. In order to view unlimited recipes as a subscriber on bonappetit.com and epicurious.com, you’ll need to link your print subscription to your bonappetit.com account. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Log in to your bonappetit.com account (or create one, if you haven’t yet).
  2. Visit bonappetit.com/account/link
  3. Enter your account number or subscription number, which can be found in two places: the account summary section of Customer Care and the mailing label of an issue already shipped to you, if you are a print subscriber. Or, you may use your shipping address by clicking or tapping on the link at the bottom of the prompt window.

Epicurious App

Q: Can Bon Appétit subscribers access the Epicurious app?

A: Yes, subscribers to Bon Appétit have unlimited access to the app. You can sign in with the email address associated with your subscription. If you have any issues, please reach out to our customer support team by emailing apps@epicurious.com or calling 1-855-753-1037 (+1 332-239-2921 if outside of the U.S.).

Q: I used a previous version of the Epicurious app. Will all my saved recipes still be available to me?

A: Yes. To access your saved recipes in the new app, simply sign in using the same email address associated with your previous account.

Q: Where is the Epicurious app available?

A: The Epicurious app is currently only available on iOS devices. You can download the app from the Apple App Store on your phone or tablet device.
